Route description
This bicycle tour starts in Fladnitz an der Teichalm and then circles the town centre. The trail runs through meadows and past homesteads that raise livestock, fish and herbs, dairy farms and apiaries.
Cyclist enjoy a magnificent view of the Passailer Kessel soon after starting out. In the local district of Tulwitz, the trail passes the Almenland-Sennerei Leitner that produces cheese for ripening in the Almenland Käsestollen – from pure alpine milk, naturally! The final leg of the journey passes the Almenland Golf Course, one of Austria’s most popular golf courses.
Back in the centre of Fladnitz, the time has come for a break – either at one of the inns offering dishes with locally raised fish and beef, or ice cream from the “Eisschlössl”.
