Tough the steepest place in Styria
The Mühlenpanoramaweg in Gasen is a leisurely circular walk of around 1 hour. Start and finish is the center of Gasen, where you can stop in three traditional taverns before or after the hike! Families also enjoy the outdoor pool and the great playground right by the Stoanihaus.
The small, friendly mountain village of Gasen is part of the Almenland nature park and has 900 inhabitants. The place became known primarily as the home of the "Stoakogler brothers" Willingshofer, who still manage their farms here today. The "Stoani House of Music" in the center of the city hosts the large exhibition on the great career of the "Stoakogler", the "Music School for Adults", which is also located there, now has students from all over Europe. The small cafe in the house is a popular meeting place for music students as well as visitors and the souvenir shop completes the offer.
The extreme slopes around the village make gases the "steepest place in Styria".
