The legendary Cave
The tour to the Drachenhöhle starts at Mixnitz train station, which is why public transport is the ideal way to get there. From there, the route continues to Heubergstüberl, where you can also take a break on the way there or back.
The steepest part of the hike starts here, but you will be rewarded with great views along the way and, with a bit of luck, the sight of an ibex, which like to rest in the rocks of the Röthelstein. The Dragon's Cave is the highest point of the tour, from where the descent begins along the same route until you return to the starting point at Mixnitz station.
There are also tours through the Dragon's Cave, all information and dates can be found here.
