Circular route around the "Passailer Kessel" in 6 stages

This stage hiking trail is an idea of the Passail Catholic men's movement and was also planned and implemented by it. The six sections are designed in such a way that after each day's stage there is an opportunity to stop off or spend the night. The stages run mainly along designated Alpine Club trails and have also been marked with their own signposts.

The small panels depict the colors of the migrated communities of Fladnitz an der Teichalm (gold), Passail (blue) and St. Kathrein am Offenegg (red).

The path starts in Arzberg, leads up to the Schöckl and on to the Rechberg. From there it goes over the Nechnitz up to the Teichalm, over the Osser up to the Sommeralm and over the Brandlucken to St. Kathrein am Offenegg. The last two stages then lead over the Patscha down to the Weizklamm, before going back to Arzberg via the Gösser and the Große Raabklamm

The first stage is the "Kind tour" up to the Schöckel summit, but the ascent is worthwhile with great views, first in the Passailer Kessel and then to Graz and the Mur valley. There is a wide range of places to stop for refreshments and sports at the summit.

The second stage leads gently from the foot of the Schöckel over the Rechberg to the Nechnitz plateau, which lies exactly between the Rote Wand and the Schöckel. There are good places to stop for a bite to eat and there is a wooden sculpture path on the Gschaid-Nock.

The third stage begins with the wooden sculpture path on Nechnitz, then it goes very gently to the Teichalm. The highlight is the Osser mountain top with its great view over the alpine pastures.

The fourth stage leads over the beautiful summer pasture with the wind turbine and the view from the Plankogel. The Huabn Theater and places to stop for refreshments await you on the Brandlucken and at the end of the tour the flower town of St. Kathrein / Offenegg.

This 5th stage leads through the beautiful flower town of St. Kathrein am Offenegg to the Patscha saddle, which is best known for its great 3 church views from the Passailer Kessel over the Sommeralm to St. Kathrein.

The highlights of the 6th stage are the many beautiful views down to Passail, but also towards Weiz, and above all the last section of the route that leads through the Große Raabklamm with its fantastic flora and fauna.

There is a separate website for the route with a lot of information about the route.
