Tradition & Modernity
The Kreuzwirt inn is located directly at the crossroads to St. Kathrein am Offenegg and Passail. However, the name of the inn does not come from the crossroads itself, but from a wayside cross that is said to have once stood there.
As early as 1878, an inn was built on the same spot, and since 1914 it has been owned by the Pretterhofer family. After the closure in 2005, the young generation, who already had experience in running a gastronomy business with the Bürgerkeller in Weiz, decided to bring the Kreuzwirt back to life. Michael and Kerstin made their dream come true and reopened the inn in August 2022.
The guest room with the large bar and the cosy Stüberl with a total of 70 seats invite you to eat, drink and celebrate.
The inn combines tradition with modernity, so there is not only traditional cuisine, but also burgers and barbecue ribs. A particular speciality is also the roast pork, which is prepared in the old wood-fired oven. During the week there is also a lunch menu.
