SAM - shared taxi in East Styria
Since January 2020, the "Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark - SAM" has been available in the Almenland Nature Park. This micro-public transport system runs 7 days a week, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. with regional taxi providers at reasonable prices. SAM complements the existing public transport in 62 municipalities as a delivery and pick-up service for the first and last "mile" and provides mobility in regions without public transport. In addition, SAM is a mobility alternative for the environmentally conscious renunciation of a car and a feeder to car and bike sharing as well as other mobility offers in the region.
How does it work?
Taxi rides can be pre-ordered and are processed at the exact time. For spontaneous rides, there is a maximum waiting time of one hour. The shared taxi picks up the guests at the nearest meeting point (SAM sign), which must be announced when ordering.

Collective rides
For cost and environmental reasons, collective journeys are important to us. Therefore, collective journeys are enforced according to reasonable and everyday criteria.

Transport in the shared taxi
Payment methods:
Payment is made directly at the time of transport, either cash or non-cash, or immediately during the online booking.
Additional prices:
- Children up to 6 years free of charge
but need an accompanying person older than 14 years and their own seat cushion. - Bike transport: € 3,00 per bike
- Animal transport: € 3,00
(Animals must be transported in a transport box or secured on the ground, dogs must wear a muzzle)
Home collection:
A home collection can be requested from a local authority under the following conditions:
- Disabled person's pass
- Care level
- Medical certificate (temporary)
