Climbing in the Almenland

The municipality of Breitenau am Hochlantsch provides a wide range of options for climbers, from a freely accessible climbing garden in the gorge ditch near Breitenau to the Bärenschütz Gorge, through to the exciting Franz Scheikl fixed-rope climbing route up the Hochlantsch, which is even suitable for sporty children. And, of course, the ice climbing in the winter should not be forgotten.

Courses for beginners and advanced climbers are offered.

You must bring the equipment with you. If you want to climb at another time (or on Monday) or need equipment, this can be arranged by telephone.

Feel the fascination of climbing on a natural rock face under the instruction of an experienced mountain guide. The mountain guide will demonstrate all the necessary basic techniques for the initial steps on the fixed-rope climbing route.
