Brandluckner Huab'n Theatre
Open-air theater on the Brandlucken
The theater group was founded in 2000 and began outdoor performances in front of the Huab'n on the Brandlucken in the same year. The theater group consists only of amateur actors between the ages of 5 and 75 who play and work on a voluntary basis and all come from the local area. Mainly comedy classics by Austrian authors are played, from Nestroy to Raimund to Rosegger. The key reason for the high number of visitors is not only the high-quality performances, but also the great ambience in the open-air theater. The covered grandstand offers over 600 seats, so guests can sit dry even on rainy evenings.

“Der Brandluckner Jedermann” is a modern version of the medieval ‘Jedermann’ play, which deals with the theme of the transience of life and the question of man's moral responsibility.
The plot revolves around Everyman, a wealthy and carefree man who lives in prosperity and pleasure without thinking of the consequences of his lifestyle. One day, he is unexpectedly confronted by the apparition of Death and learns that his time is up. Everyman desperately tries to avoid his death and looks for various ways to save himself. He asks for help from his friends, his family and his wealth, but no one will stand by him...
