Open-air theater on the Brandlucken
The theater group was founded in 2000 and began outdoor performances in front of the Huab'n on the Brandlucken in the same year. The theater group consists only of amateur actors between the ages of 5 and 75 who play and work on a voluntary basis and all come from the local area. Mainly comedy classics by Austrian authors are played, from Nestroy to Raimund to Rosegger. The key reason for the high number of visitors is not only the high-quality performances, but also the great ambience in the open-air theater. The covered grandstand offers over 600 seats, so guests can sit dry even on rainy evenings.
The play 2024
A packet of love letters from distant Carinthia brings to light the youthful sins of three supposedly blameless citizens of the village on the Brandlucken:
Mayor Hilgermoser, car mechanic Riedlechner and master baker Sollböck do a lot to keep their former amorous entanglements secret from their wives.
At the same time, Hilgermoser behaves as a family tyrant and forbids daughter Fanni from loving the penniless teacher Martin Furtner.
Instead, a rich groom is found. However: He also comes from Carinthia. And that has consequences, a chain of mix-ups begins...
