Hillclimb Grand Prix of Austria
Date: April 25th to 27th, 2025
The only mountain European championship race in Austria on the Rechberg is taking place again!
After a successful race last year, the Rechberg is once again being stormed by the best mountain pilots in Europe.
The date in April (26th to 28th) is a very promising one because the European Championships are just beginning and many participants can be expected.
The run is also part of the Austrian mountain state championship, as well as the Slovenian and Slovak national championship.
A new organizational team has a lot planned - both for the drivers and for the fans.
The route will be provided with sound using the latest technology; a live stream that will go out all over the world is planned, as well as video walls along the route.
A specially founded Rechberglaufen GmbH with the managing directors Mario Bracket, Peter Eibisberger and Christian Ferstl takes care of the continuation of the legendary Rechberg race.
They are all successful entrepreneurs and racing drivers from Styria and know the mammoth task they are tackling.
The ultimate mountain race on the Rechberg will once again be held as a round of the FIA European Hillclimb Championship (modern & historical). In addition, other awards such as the Austrian Mountain Championships and other national championships, which are currently still being negotiated, will be held.
“The Rechberg race is one of the largest motorsport events in Austria and is also very historic and long-established.
That's precisely why there will be numerous innovations from 2023, no stone will be left unturned!" say the shareholders in unison, and follow up:
“Both participants and fans can look forward to something great…tradition combined with modern times – that is the goal.”
They are also very proud of the collaboration with the local motorsport clubs and associations, as well as the broad acceptance among the population.
“We still have a lot to do, but we are extremely motivated and confident that the Rechberg race in 2024 will be a complete success!”, says the dynamic trio of managing partners Klemm, Eibisberger and Ferstl in conclusion.
