Letting the horses out in the Nature Park Almenland

Horses bring life to the image of the mountain pastures, as they are almost an exotic species amongst so many cattle. Vigorous Norikers and agile Haflingers may enjoy their summer here. The spectacle of the horses being let out into the pastures with other horses which were previously strangers to them, on the first Saturday in June, is worth seeing. We can sense the noble animals’ vitality, agility, herd mentality and awareness of their status when they reoccupy their pastures each year
