Gasthof Hofbauer on the festival meadow
Every year, horse lovers meet in Breitenau am Hochlantsch to uphold the culture of carriage driving and wood-pulling on horseback. Around three thousand visitors marvel at the traditional draft horse meeting. A total of almost 60 teams of various races and formations are expected.
Program:
- 9:00 a.m. The teams meet at the Gasthaus Hofbauer in St. Jakob
- then a parade through Breitenau to the Klösch inn and back again
- 13.00 p.m. festive entry of the teams and stallions from the parish church of St. Jakbo to the festival site at the Hofbauer inn
- subsequent presentation of the teams
Entry: Voluntary donation
Food and drink will be provided, and there will be a large raffle with valuable prizes among the team drivers.
